General Format
Weekly Rotation Format:
Week 1: 9-Ball (No Handicap)
Week 2: Seeded 8-Ball
Week 3: Handicap 9-Ball
Week 4: Chip 10-Ball
Repeats monthly
Entry Fee:
$15 standard
$5 for ladies
Start Time: 7:00 PM
Check-in closes at 7:00 PM
Location: Heavy Hitters Bar and Grill, Charlotte Hall, MD
Player Eligibility
Open to all skill levels
Must follow house rules and tournament etiquette
Disqualification may occur for:
Cheating
Disrespectful behavior
Repeated tardiness or no-shows
Handicaps
Applied only during Handicap 9-Ball
Based on FargoRate (or TD judgment if unknown)
Races typically range from 3–6
Match Rules
Format-Specific Rules
9-Ball: call the 9, push allowed, no 3 foul
8-Ball: Call shot; no slop; ball-in-hand on all fouls
10-Ball: Call shot on all balls, including the 10, player option
Lag for Break: First match only, Alternate break after
Break & Run / Early Wins: Count, but break alternates
House Rule Enforcement
Jump shots and masse shots are not allowed per bar policy
Scoring System
All scoring is done on DigitalPool.com
Players must check in and confirm matches through the app
Weekly points affect standings and championship eligibility
Championship Qualification
How to Qualify:
Finish in the Top 16 in points AND play 7+ events
OR
Play in 14+ events total (auto-qualified)
Championship Format:
Depending on turn out for championship, bracket will be either divided into two seeded brackets or one seeded bracket (based on Fargo)
Match types:
Race to 5: 3 games each – 9-Ball, 10-Ball, 8-Ball
Race to 4: 3 (9-Ball), 2 (10-Ball), 2 (8-Ball)
Race to 3: 2 (9-Ball), 2 (10-Ball), 1 (8-Ball)
Time Management
5-minute forfeit rule: Player must report when called
30-second shot clock may be used in later rounds (at TD discretion)
Tournament Director Discretion
The Tournament Director has full authority to:
Make final rulings on all disputes
Adjust formats, races, and rules when needed
Enforce conduct, house, and tournament rules
Code of Conduct
Respect All Players
Be courteous—no trash talk, bullying, or intimidation.
No Sharking
Distracting behavior like loud talking, movement during shots, or stalling is not tolerated.
Good Sportsmanship
Win or lose with class. Congratulate your opponent and keep the event positive.
Respect the Venue
Follow all house rules
No outside food or drinks
Respect equipment and staff
Zero Tolerance Policy
No abuse (verbal or physical)
Violators may be immediately removed and banned from future events
